The pdf file above will provide you with my printer recommendations. I have been working with several different printer models and I have come to believe there are some models that are built better and more efficient than others.
There are pros and cons to every style, type and model of printer. But, a few things stand out when it comes to a machine I would recommend to someone.
Of course, there are always those bells and whistles:
These things are often weighed against each other when determining if using an older refurbsihed printer is more valuable than purchasing the latest, fastest, more color producing technological advancement in printers of the day.
Well that depends on what you really need to print most. Asking your self if you really need to print in color or high resoulution pictures and graphics can help you make a choice. Printing on a monochrome printer can save you lots of money and save the environment from wasted ink cartridges.
If you absolutely need to print in color you have 2 choices: inkjet or color laserjet. Depending on what you are printing the choice will determine which product has the better value.

The pdf file above will provide you with lots of valuable information you should know or consider when making a printer purchase.
Another thing to consider when making that printer purchase is how environmentally friendly is the machine? Power save options, refillability of cartridges, longevity of mortality parts (fusers, scanners, printheads, transfer belts and rollers) and life expectancy of the machine as a whole are all important aspects as well.
When considering another or a replacement printer please consider these R’s:
Reduce - Large cartridge volumes reduce the amount of waste going to the landfill. Inkjet cartridges can be successfully refilled for several re-uses and then they need to be replaced. Most laserjet cartridges can be re-used indefinitely and should never go to the landfill.
Remanufacture - Using products that allow the remanufacturing of their products allows you a choice in saving lots of money and being environmentally friendly.
Refurbished - Buying refurbished products can help you save money, reduce carbon footprint, and save our landfills from unneccesary e-waste.
Recycle- If you find your printer just isn’t worth the repair please recycle. Donate it to a school, a charity, or any other recycling center you know.
